Dr. Dara Kimia D.M.D.
After 15 yeas of brutal winters, he started his southwestern journey with a rather small move to Rochester, NY where he completed his AEGD residency. He remained and practiced in upstate New York till 2008 before moving to Scottsdale, AZ. After 5 years spent in the heat of the desert, and constant petitioning from family members, he finally surrendered and moved to Southern California in 2013.
He has diverse interests, first and foremost he is a huge sports fan and played baseball and hockey his whole life until the burden of dental school forced him into early retirement. Having grown up in Montreal, naturally he is a die hard Canadiens fan, as many of you know by now.
He speaks several languages and is fascinated by history, foreign cultures, politics and financial markets. As far as dentistry goes, as he says, he has been very fortunate over the years to work alongside great mentors who conveyed to him their knowledge and expertise in different disciplines. He truly enjoys all aspects of the dental field but excels in full mouth rehabilitation cases, smile design and surgery. His philosophy has always been to educate his patients, present them with all possible options as well as the pros and cons that go alongside them.
In our society today, there are very few dental offices remaining such as this one, a family oriented environment where patients truly come first. Our office always believes in giving back; on a yearly basis, Dr. Kimia and Cristina accompany UCLA students on a volunteer dental trip to remote, underprivileged and disaster stricken areas around the world in order to educate and provide access to care. This year's trip was to remote villages of the Dominican Republic closer to the Haitian border.

Dr. Daniel Herrera D.D.S.
Dr. Herrera is a true local. He was born and raised in Northridge, attending Castlebay Lane Elementary School, Frost Middle School, and Granada Hills Charter High School. He only briefly left Southern California to attend BYU in Utah for a degree in Neuroscience. From there he returned back home to dental school at UCLA. In order to pursue additional education and learn advanced techniques in General Dentistry after dental school, he completed a two-year General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center in North Hills. While there he advanced his skills in multidisciplinary facets of dentistry including: crown techniques, root canals and oral surgery, including implants.
One of Dr. Herrera’s passions is education. While in Dental School, he volunteered in several different capacities as a peer mentor and teacher/lecturer that taught undergrads about dentistry. His goal is always to help his patients understand their treatment so they can make informed decisions about their own care. Knowledge is power and he likes to spend time to educate his patients and empower them to take control over their oral health.
Dr. Herrera loves all aspects of General Dentistry and works to stay up to date on current techniques, materials and practices through Continuing Education courses and membership in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the San Fernando Valley Dental Society.
Dr. Herrera enjoys all the typical So-Cal activities like surfing, rock climbing and hiking. His main passion is cycling and on any given Saturday morning before any reasonable person would be awake, you might find him on his big blue bike on the trails of the Santa Monica or San Gabriel mountains or steaming around the asphalt of the valley on his road bike. He lives in the valley with his lovely wife, who is also a true LA native and together they enjoy visiting all the lovely cultural, artistic, outdoors and food sites that make LA unique.
