Full Mouth Restoration

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a great treatment option to replace missing
teeth or as added retention under dentures or partial dentures. A dental implant simulates the root structure of a tooth while supporting the crown, bridge or denture to provide proper oral health function and facial structure support. Missing teeth may cause subsequent dental problems, jaw alignment issues, and can be detrimental to one’s health. The implants also stimulate the jaw bone and decrease the long term resorption of the maxilla and mandible, thus providing long term retention.

Full Rehabiliation

Dr. Kimia has had over 10 years of experience in smile designs and full mouth rehabilitation. He will address your concerns and desires, designing your smile aided by an artistic and scientific background. Often such elaborate treatments may combine implants, Invisalign (clear braces), veneers, crowns, bridges and whitening in order to obtain the most desirable outcome.

Extractions & Oral Surgery

Dr. Kimia and Dr. Lorenz have had many years of experience with wisdom teeth extractions, socket preservation, bone grafting, frenectomies (excision of the labial frenum on the uppers that often causes a gap to form between the two front teeth or when tongue tied on lower), alveoplasty (reshaping of the jaw bone before dentures), sinus augmentation (to allow placement of implants), and torii removal (bony protrusions).

Dentures

We offer customized dentures in both traditional and implant-supported varieties. Once a facial and smile analysis is completed, our dentists will be able not only to restore your missing teeth, but the supporting structures as well. This allows us to comfortably restore the function of your mouth and improve your facial appearance.

Composite Filling

Composite fillings are a bio-compatible and natural looking restoration process for repairing cavities. They are preferred because tooth preparation and reduction is minimal and conservative versus traditional metal fillings. Composite fillings are indicated for treating small cavities, and for bigger cavities, a crown may be recommended.

Root Canals

When dental decay goes untreated for a long period of time or when your teeth are involved in injury or habitual grinding, the pulp tissue which resides in the center of the tooth can become exposed, infected or inflamed. Debilitating pain often occurs as a result of this inflammation, and in certain cases, the inflammation will cause the root of the tooth to die (necrosis). Root canal therapy removes the source of decayed material in the tooth’s core, replacing it with a bio-compatible material. This procedure is usually combined with a restorative procedure to preserve the tooth’s form and function.

Teeth Cleaning

To improve the aesthetic and hygienic state of your smile, we use Ultrasonic (sound) energy, and hand scaling to remove plaque, tartar, stains and bacteria from your teeth, even in areas below the gum line. Our hygienists are true professionals with extensive training in lasers. If a deep cleaning is indicated we take a full hour for each quadrant in order t make sure we have meticulously removed all the calculus. However, in some severe and advanced cases, a combination of surgical techniques may be used by our periodontist in order to bring your oral condition into the most desirable condition possible.

Oral Appliances

We offer a variety of oral appliances, depending on your specific needs. This can range from a simple night guard, sports guard or retainer, for preventative protection, to a more rigid appliance used for jaw misalignment or sleep apnea. Dr. Kimia will evaluate your oral health and help you determine the best appliance according to your need. Custom made appliances are often fabricated in-office and delivered the same day.

Oral Cancer Screening

An oral cancer screening is typically performed during a comprehensive oral examination. Those at an especially high risk of developing oral cancer are over 40 years of age, heavy drinkers and smokers, or users of smokeless tobacco, including snuff. Dr. Kimia offers the most advanced oral cancer screening tools currently available.
